The use and management of passive solar environments

Abstract: The objectives of passive solar design are often at variance with subsequent energy performance. The neglect of ‘post-occupancy’ issues relating to the actual use and management of passive solar environments this situation. An introductory framework for research is proposed, through which the potential benefits of passive solar initiatives might be better achieved in the future.
