Abstract:
Out of about 1.8 million biogas plants installed throughout India, 24501 plants of a state were studied and the status is compared with other studies. It reveals that about 60% plants are functional. Most of faulty plants were nonfunctional due to damage of slurry chamber (inlet/outlet), unavailability of feed and cracks on foundation.
