The oversizing method of estimation in PV systems

Azmi Z. Taha

Renewable Energy, 1995, vol. 6, issue 5, 487-490

Abstract: The proper sizing of any photovoltaic system needs information about load requirements, solar radiation and temperature at the site and manufacturer's data specifications of the PV modules. This paper presents theoretical calculations of the mismatch and oversizing in PV systems. Experimental results on two solar refrigerator systems will be presented and discussed. It was found that the selection of a good sized system is normally affected by local conditions at the site like temperature, solar radiation, etc.
