A simple design tool for solar heating

Abstract:
For the purpose of quick-sizing DHW and space heating solar systems of standard design, a simple correlation is derived and an equivalent generalized plot is constructed, on the basis of which the long-term behavior can be predicted. The typical deviation from detailed simulation values (RMS error) is about 5% for various Greek cities and for the allowable range of design parameters.
