Abstract:
This paper presents a new exact formulation which models all harmonics in double fed induction generator. In this methodology, the harmonics which are originated from rotor side converter, stator side, or mechanical parts are analyzed and their interactions are considered. Then a new model is extracted based on frequency components in electrical and mechanical parts. The proposed method expands the previous analytical approaches and the phase angle and amplitude of frequency components are calculated. Since the derived model is extracted from time domain relations between frequency components, it can be used in normal and faulty conditions. The proposed model is evaluated by some case studies in MATLAB/SIMULINK software.
