Triple heterojunction ALGaAs-GaAs solar cells with front V-groove surface

A. Al-Bustani and M.Y. Feteha

Renewable Energy, 1996, vol. 8, issue 1, 348-353

Abstract: The Light trapping (V-groove surface) technique is applied to increase the efficiency of a recently proposed Triple Heterojunction (THJ) AlGaAs-GaAs solar cell. An analytical model is presented as a function of the cell's design parameters. Optimum doping, thickness values of each layer, AR coating materials combination and thickness are also presented.
