Studies on the emittance of stainless steel surface

Jun Qian, Shi Yueyan and Yin Zhiqiang

Renewable Energy, 1996, vol. 8, issue 1, 555-558

Abstract: The surface of the stainless steel (1Crl8Ni9Ti) was finished by means of the electrochemical method. The emittances of the polished specimens were measured. The operating condition of the nearly lowest emittance was obtained. The theoretical results of the ideal surface of the stainless steel were calculated with the electromagnetic theory. A good agreement between experimental and theoretical values was observed.
