Economic and environmental choices for achieving stable greenhouse gas concentrations

Renewable Energy, 1996, vol. 9, issue 1, 1061-1066
Abstract:
Global scenarios of energy provision with zero net emissions of greenhouse gases are considered. The scenarios assume the same demand for energy services and a high degree of emphasis on energy efficiency, with supply options clean fossil fuels, safe nuclear power, centralised or decentralised renewable energy, respectively. They may be used as reference cases for building concrete energy policies.
