Abstract:
The energy deficit budget of Pakistan demands for an energy transition from limited fossil fuel reserves to abundant renewable energy sources. With a modest research and development programme for solar energy utilisation, PCSIR and DGNRER concentrated on both solar thermal and PV systems. The achievements as a result of research and development over the last decade has been discussed in this paper.
