Abstract: The fabrication with locally available materials, installation and testing of a line-axis compound parabolic concentrating solar energy collector is described. The system is 2.0 metres long with a 0.2 metre exit aperture. The acceptance half-angle is 36°, and the angle of inclination is 26° 10′.
