Abstract:
This paper explores the impact of digital transformation on rural labourers' occupational mobility from theoretical and empirical perspectives against the background of digital transformation development. It was found that digital transformation can positively contribute to the rise in rural labourers' occupational mobility, and this study establishes the validity of the conclusions drawn through robustness tests and endogeneity analysis. In addition, digital transformation can achieve a rise in the career mobility of rural labourers by reducing their information costs. The impact of digital transformation on the occupational mobility of rural labour in economically deprived regionss may be more significant.
