Abstract:
•Sociotechnical hull metrics show good correlation with overall transportation activity.•The method could be useful in forecasting Airplane, Bike, and Hired mode shifts.•The auto overlap relationship was strongest for Airplane, Bike, and Hired modes.•As Hired modes capture more auto sociotechnical space, usage will increase.•The Hired OTB indicates longer trip durations becoming normalized for this mode.
