Cansu Türker, Burak Can Altay and Abdullah Okumuş

Technological Forecasting and Social Change, 2022, vol. 184, issue C

Abstract: With the contactless payment feature, QR code mobile payment systems (MPS) has been increasingly popular among consumers, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic. These systems enable consumers to shop from their mobile devices and complete payment transactions quickly. This research aims to explain the user acceptance of QR code MPS and identify the causal relationships between the factors affecting the acceptance. An extended Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) was proposed to achieve this. The research data was obtained from 485 QR code MPS users in Turkey using an online survey.
