Beyond transport time: A review of time use modeling

Sergio Jara-Diaz (jaradiaz@ing.uchile.cl) and Jorge Rosales-Salas

Transportation Research Part A: Policy and Practice, 2017, vol. 97, issue C, 209-230

Abstract: Time allocation literature coming from all disciplines is reviewed and organized by means of a conceptual classification. A brief account of the origins and evolution of the modeling perspectives on time use research is presented including activity types and overall time use models. The lack of integration across disciplines is identified as a major limitation.
