Abstract:
In this note we will (i) comment on three inappropriate assumptions in Kikuchi's (1985) paper; (ii) offer two revised models and rework some findings of the original paper; and (iii) present the comparison of the results between the revised original models. Our examinations of the revised models lead to some new conclusions, particularly concerning optimum service frequencies (headway) and number of stops.
