Political fantasy: the new interpretation of the II PND

Abstract: This paper discusses the conclusions from the article “Uma alternativa de interpretaçãodo II PND”, where the authors try to give a new interpretation to the rationality– or the lack of it – to the II PND (Second National Development Plan) of the Geisel administration.We understand that the II PND did not lack economic reasoning and that thesaid article failed to attribute patrimonialism characteristics to the planning and executionof the Plan.
