Abstract:
This paper aims to discuss some issues related to post-Keynesian growth anddistribution models and how the introduction of the concept of mark-up can contribute asan alternative to the distribution model and become a key feature to build a growth model. We part from the assumption that Harrod’s analysis does not mention any contribution toexplaining distribution. Kaldor aims to eliminate such limitations through the non-realisticassumption that the economy is always operating under full employment. We show how theintroduction of mark-up can be a solution to this issue. JEL Classification: E12; B22.
