Abstract:
The article discusses the importance of the connection between industrial andtrade policies within the current process of globalization in the world economy. In spite ofbeing inspired by the recent Brazilian trade liberalization, all questions analyzed here arebasically theoretical ones. The author discusses how the connection between industrial andtrade policies are analyzed within the international trade theories as well as how the latteroffers theoretical arguments favorable to industrial policies.
