Abstract:
The objective of this article is to attempt to identify, measure, and speculateabout agriculture that is changing its techno-economic basis and altering the correspondingsocial structure. It is fundamentally about thinking about agriculture that is becomingindustrialized. The idea that we wish to sustain is that the current industrialization of theBrazilian countryside is a new phenomenon and that industrialized agriculture sets the directionfor the future of all national agriculture. The main hypothesis is that as the phenomenaand particular processes of agricultural industrialization will become general processes. JEL Classification: Q10; Q15; Q18; Q13; O13.
