Abstract:
Charles ‘Chuck’ F. Adams Jr. passed away on July 24, 2024, at the age of 79 after a long and productive academic career. He researched in the field of public economics and was strongly committed to public service and education, making a number of important contributions in these areas. He served as an advisor on numerous associations and commissions and was active in graduate teaching and PhD supervision. He was devoted to improving pedagogy by trying to enhance the exposition of demand theory, and he consistently strengthened the content of the microeconomics core and its classroom delivery. Economics education has lost one of its strongest advocates with his passing.
