Creative economy’s gauges. Romania’s case

Abstract:
The aim of this paper is, on the one hand, to outline the main theoretical directions pertaining to the concept of creative economy and, on the other hand, to provide an overview of the creative economy in Romania. Thus, this paper analyses Romania’s position as concerns the creative economy and presents several differences between our country and other European countries. In addition, a study on the Romanian youngsters’ attitudes is provided in the last part of the paper. Its main purpose is to weight Romania’s degree of preparedness for implementing and promoting the creative economy and the creative industries.
