The purpose of this research is to analyze the role of transformational leadership in mergers and acquisitions, in emergent economies. More specifically, we shall present the case of the case of an important merger in beer industry on the Romanian market. Merger and acquisitions represent strategies for developing new markets, or for increasing market dominance in old markets. From companies performing mergers and acquisitions viewpoint, these events represent discontinuities in their business life that generates a lot of problems.
