A wellfunctioning capital market plays an important role in mobilizing savings and investments for organizing the production of goods and services, creating employment opportunities, and enhancing economic development. But any sort of disorder in the capital market may negatively affect the economy as a whole. The present study is an endeavor to explore the impacts and consequences based on a chronological analysis of stock market in Bangladesh and to provide some recommendations to overcome the present crises.
