Is Globalisation Affecting the Quality of Life? A Review of the Literature
Lina Th. Tsakiri
European Research Studies Journal, 2010, vol. XIII, issue 4, 157-168
Abstract:
This review reveals that: significant changes arising from Globalization (G.) affect the quality of life; contradictory views due to a lack of consensus on the appropriate methodology and tools purposing to define and measure such an impact, and an enormous complexity of parameters characterising both issues, impede proper estimations of its nature; the appropriate strategies and policies -national or individual- towards G., can differentiate such an impact. The review also gives suggestions regarding future avenues of further research.
