Classic Crowdfunding - A Modern Source of Financing?

Abstract: Purpose: The paper aims to define the author's definition of classical crowdfunding on the example of the wspieram.to the platform - one of the most frequently used in this model and presenting arguments that this form of financing is modern. Design/Methodology/Approach: The paper was prepared based on an analysis of the content of documents and secondary data. Findings: The argumentation presented in the paper allows us to state that crowdfunding is a modern and low-cost form of financing companies. Practical Implications: In practice, both start-ups and those operating on the market for some time have always faced the problem of obtaining external financing. Therefore, it is worth taking advantage of social funding (crowdfunding), an alternative to traditional sources such as credit or leasing. Originality/Value: The originality of the article is an attempt to define the crowdfunding phenomenon.
