Note: [English Title] SELF EMPLOYMENT: CONCEPT, MEASUREMENT AND CHARECTERISTICS [English Abstract] The difficulties of defining and measuring self employment have been discussed in the literature. The concept of self employment is fraught with ambiguity. On the one hand, self employment is a type of entrepreneurship. Sometimes, a self employed worker may be an entrepreneur improving products, production process and exploiting new opportunies.
