Note: [English Title] Not available [English Abstract] During these last years which are characterized by an acceleration of industrialization, urbanization and social change in Turkey, it has been occurred an important increase in the demand for electrical energy as a secondary and also general type of energetic source. The increasing need for energy is of course a result of the rapid augmentation of the energy consunıption. There is no doubt that it will persist in the near future. Therefore, the question of primary importance is how we will fill this energetic gap. The current energetic sources of Turkey aren't sufficient neither quantitavely nor qualitatively. It means that during the next years Turkey will be ineviably nıore and more forced to use imported sources for energy production. In this study, we made a statement of the energetic reserves in Turkey firstly and then we focused our attention to the energy production and consumption. Furthernıore, we discussed some issues and alternatives to remedy energetic bottleneck. [English Keywords] Not available
