Çimento Sektöründe IMKB'ye Kayıtlı İşletmelerin Veri Zarflama Analizi Yöntemi İle Etkinlik Analizi

Abstract: Ekonominin temelini oluşturan sektörlerimizin bilimsel metotlarla araştırılması ve geleceğe ışık tutulması; sektörlerimiz için rekabet avantajı oluşturmaktadır. Bu çalışmalardan biri de Veri Zarflama Analizi (VZA) yöntemi ile etkinlik analizidir. VZA, işletmelerin diğer işletmelere göre ve/veya kendi tarihi seyri içersinde mukayeseli kaynak etkinliği konusunda göreceli değerleme imkanı vermektedir. Kaynakların kıt ama, rekabetin de çok çetin olduğu günümüzde kaynaklarımızın israf edilmeden en etkin bir şekilde kullanılması, verimliliğin artırılması ve dolayısıyla maliyetlerin düşürülmesi rekabet avantajı olarak çok önem kazanmıştır. Gelişmişliğin ve refahın bir göstergesi inşaat sektöründeki büyümedir. Çimento sektörünün, genel olarak inşaat sektörüne bağlı olduğu düşünülürse bu sektördeki gelişmeler de bizi benzer sonuçlara ulaştıracaktır. Bu amaçla çalışma İstanbul Menkul Kıymetler Borsası'na (İMKB) kayıtlı çimento üretim işletmelerinde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışma da İMKB'ye kayıtlı on adet çimento üretimi yapan işletme esas alınmıştır. Çalışma sonunda yıllara ait ve toplam etkinlik analizi sonuçları değerlendirildiğinde özellikle aktif büyüklükleri küçük olan işletmelerin etkinlik sonuçlarının daha iyi çıktığı görülmüştür. Bu çerçevede çalışmanın konusu çimento sanayinde veri zarflama yöntemi ile etkinlik ölçümü olarak belirlenmiştir.

Note: [English Title] PRODUCTIVITY ANALYSIS OF FIRMS REGISTERED TO ISTANBUL STOCK EXCHANGE IN THE CEMENT INDUSTRY WITH THE METHOD OF DATA ENVELOPING ANALYSIS [English Abstract] Researchs by scientific methods on industries which consist basis of economy constitute competitive advantage for our industries. One of these studies is efficiancy analysis by the method of Data Envelope Analysis. DEA presents the possibility for relatively evaulating of comparative resource efficiency for organizations against the others or in theirs historical process.Today, wherein resource are scarce and competition is harsh, it is so important for competitive advantage that the efficiently use of resourse without wasting, increasing productivity and decreasing costs.One of the indicator of development and wealth is growing in building industry. Considering that the cement sector is linked to building industry takes us to the similar deduction. This purpose has been done on cement manufacturing firms registered to İstanbul Stock Exchange. Sample of the study is consist of 10 organizations. At the final analysis related to annual and total productivity examination it is concluded that the organizations with smalller asset quantity are more productive than the others. In this frame the study aims to measure efficiency by the method of Data Envelope Analysis.
