Loan-quality differences: evidence from Ohio banks

Abstract: A discussion of the deterioration of loan quality and bank earnings, using data from a sample of 84 Ohio banks, and examining the differences between banks with high- and low-quality loans, citing the effects of local economic conditions, lending behavior, and other factors.
