Globally competitive agriculture and the Midwest: a conference summary

Abstract: On September 29, 2006, the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago and the Chicago Council on Global Affairs held a joint conference on the linkages between global competition in agriculture and the Midwest. This conference brought together industry experts and academics involved in agriculture to discuss the effects of globalization on the Midwest economy.
