Abstract: Well-being research is burgeoning. But there is no agreement on which measure of well-being is to be preferred, nor in which circumstances. We here briefly discuss some of the issues and a number of preliminary results from our ongoing work. We conclude by wondering whether de-growth will necessarily reduce well-being.
