Forecasting the Uptake of Gene Therapies
Gary Johnson
Foresight: The International Journal of Applied Forecasting, 2025, issue 76, 28-33
Abstract:
Gene therapies are a technical novelty, with some unusual features that make them an interesting forecasting challenge. Also, gene therapies are generally administered just once, creating unusual dynamics for the forecaster. To address these challenges, Johnson demonstrates the use of a Markov chain stock and flow model for forecasting. Copyright International Institute of Forecasters, 2025
