Long-Term Product Forecasting in Pharmaceuticals
Robert F. Siegmund
Foresight: The International Journal of Applied Forecasting, 2025, issue 76, 34-39
Abstract:
Pharmaceutical long-term forecasting employs methods that may be unfamiliar to supply chain forecasters in other industries. In this article, Siegmund introduces a structured approach centered on patient-based models where sales projections are derived from detailed analyses of patient numbers, treatment accessibility, and product market share.
