Abstract:
In the long run, the absence of paid employment curtails the material, social and cultural participation of those concerned. In certain cases, subsidized employment can help to alleviate these deficits. A pivotal condition for this is that the work is taken up out of free choice. Moreover, the conditions of employment should be as similar as possible to those of regular paid employment. (IAB) ((en))
