Abstract:
"If you want to use a single indicator to understand how the German labour market compares internationally, then the employment rate is a fitting measure to use. It gives the proportion of the working population relative to the total working-age population (aged 15 to 64), thus showing to what degree working-age people are in active employment in the respective country."
