Abstract: "When refugees first arrive in Germany, apart from individual constraints, institutional hurdles hinder them from integrating into the labour market. However, seven years after arrival, 63 percent are employed. This can be considered a major success. In this interview, IAB researchers Maye Ehab and Philipp Jaschke give insights into labour market trajectories of refugees and explain what could be done to improve their labour market integration."
