Abstract:
Diminishing country’s vulnerability to risk factors can be promoted by applying a number of policies and carrying out certain actions: legal, economic, environmental, social, etc. The increase of the agricultural productivity, being stimulated by government investments in rural infrastructure, agricultural science, extension, irrigation, as well as adequate financial incentives for non-farm activities could contribute to the economic growth and poverty alleviation in rural areas, and consequently to improve food security in the Republic of Moldova.
