Abstract:
Economic, social and cultural changes impact women's career all around the world. Increasing female labour force worldwide has led to the changes of approaches to women's career and the factors affecting career development. This paper aims to investigate women's career development directions and possibilities. The emphasis is put on the factors positively and negatively influencing career development. Based on theoretical considerations, the survey of entrepreneur's was carried out. The obtained data let us reveal that majority of respondents seek balance of personal life and career. On the other hand, some problems related with stereotypes in the society, negative attitudes and perceptions in organisations, lack of personal desire to seek career, remain. This paper provides insights into the measures leading to the decrease of obstacles for career development.
