Abstract: The purpose of this study is to examine the impact of organisational support for career development (OSCD) on organisational effectiveness (OE). It is a cross-sectional study based on responses collected from 252 millennial employees. The research perspective of this article is that when employees perceive the organisation's support in their career development, they reciprocate it with positive behaviour thus contributing to the overall effectiveness of the organisation. The hypotheses on collected data were tested with the help of SEM. The results indicated a significant impact of organisational support for career development on organisational citizenship behaviour and organisational effectiveness. The research is limited to the IT companies in Bangalore City, India.
