Abstract:
The process of globalisation consists of much more than simply seeing an organisation integrated in the economic environment. Looking to the emerging competitive landscape in the new millenium, Indian corporate sectors are viewing transfrontier operations as a logical and even unavoidable step in developing their own competitive potential. Managing the complexity associated with such a move requires not only a sound strategy, but also the knowledge base of people and organisations that can implement it. This paper is an attempt towards understanding the consequences of the rapid globalisation process for human resources management and development in Indian corporations.
