Abstract:
Most universities today enhance their classroom teaching and learning with online learning systems. However, a mismatch between learning styles and instructional methods can create conflicts that affect cognition, affect, and behaviour during the learning process. In this study, the authors examine the use of online learning systems. The results identify significant differences between cognitive learning styles and login (F = 32.25, p < 0.001)/download (F = 23.59, p < 0.001) patterns, browsing (F = 5.069, p < 0.05) / edits (F = 4.987, p < 0.05) patterns though no significant differences were found in forum usage.
