An empirical research of e-learners' learning styles by Q-methodology

Abstract: Learning styles refer to the attitudes and behaviours that determine the preferred ways of learning of an individual. The purpose of this research is to construct the e-learners' learning styles based on their perception. An in-depth interview is used to collect data. Q-methodology is used to analyse data. According to the results, e-learners' learning styles are categorised into three learning styles: positive evaluator, suspicious participant and interactive empathiser. The results show the current situation relating to e-learners' learning styles, provide companies and schools with references, and offer consultations of e-learners as well.
