Abstract:
In high velocity and turbulent business environment strategic management of technology is a managerial challenge. In this paper the impacts of strategic management of technology are outlined in a conceptual framework with a perspective to utilisation of the framework. The elements of the strategic management of technology consist of structures, objectives and impacts. The impacts are classified as tangible, business model, knowledge based, transitional and dynamic, social and environmental impacts. As a comprehensive model the framework is proposed to apply for practitioners in systematic development of strategic management of technology, and to provide a frame of reference for scholars.
