Econ4: economics for people, the planet and the future

James K. Boyce, Gerald Epstein, Juliet Schor and Douglas K. Smith

International Journal of Pluralism and Economics Education, 2011, vol. 2, issue 4, 327-332

Abstract: Econ4 - economics for people, the planet, and the future - responds to the growing demand from students and the wider public for innovative economics education that makes sense of how the economy works and offers a powerful vision of how it should work. Econ4's animated videos will serve as both a springboard for classroom discussion and a means for viral transmission of reality-based, ethically-grounded alternatives to prevailing economic orthodoxy. The Econ4 network for innovative economics teaching will provide a vehicle for sharing of ideas, tools, and practises in the educational community.
