Abstract:
Measuring performance is crucial, yet occasionally taken for granted by small and medium enterprise (SME). Building a good performance management system is therefore essential for SMEs. The research is a case study in a medium size enterprise in greater Jakarta area. The research assisted the studied company to develop performance indicators using performance prism approach. Afterwards, key performance indicators (KPIs) were finalised using analytical hierarchy process (AHP) and Pareto principle. Final KPIs were then measured and visualised using the traffic light system (TLS) and objective matrix (OMAX) calculation. The results show that the combination of approaches can give a systematic and simpler mechanism for the studied company and can become the bases for monitoring and action plan identification.
