International Journal of Process Management and Benchmarking, 2022, vol. 12, issue 6, 730-743

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to conduct a descriptive comparative analysis of potential risks for supply chains in Austria, Russia, and Kazakhstan and assess the processes of their integration into global supply chains. The study used the 2020 FM Global Resilience Index as an indicator of relative enterprise resilience to disruptive events, which fully meets the requirements for a comprehensive assessment of supply chain risks. The overall analysis included different countries occupying various positions in the FM Global Resilience Index. When forming a strategy for supply chain risk management, the central attention is to be given to the analysis of the external environment and supply chain resilience. Current tendencies toward globalisation necessitate the consideration of supply chain resilience in the global context. Political risks, corruption, poor cybersecurity, and supply chain visibility play an essential role in assessing the resilience index and analysing the external environment.
