International Journal of Process Management and Benchmarking, 2023, vol. 13, issue 4, 553-570

Abstract: Presently, the industry is facing good competition due to the emergence of foreign manufacturing players in the country. There is a large base for manufacturing industries in India and thus, wide ranges of products are produced. In present times, organisations are facing drastic and aggressive competition for developing technologically sound innovative products, meeting stringent customer requirements, adopting IT-based design and production systems, evolving new organisation structures and evolving safe working environments. Thus, organisations need to accrue strategic skills to be able to succeed in the highly competitive environment. Organisational competitiveness results from the difference between the value that an organisation generates for its various stakeholders and the cost of creating that value. High level of competitiveness results from working with lower expenses than contenders for comparable advantages, or by offering customers with distinct advantages rather than incurring higher expenses.
