Abstract: Quality of work life (QoWL) is a key aspect for workers to contribute both for their personal well-being and for their organisation's growth and sustainability. Literature indicates an urgent need for an optimised model that can anticipate linkages among the elements impacting QoWL. The aim of present study is to identify the key factors that affect the sensitivities of employees of the manufacturing sector regarding the quality of work-life. The factors that influence the QoWL have been analysed by ISM 'interpretive structural modelling' methodology. Driving and dependence power of factors is analysed by MICMAC analysis. The outcome reveals that fair and impartial compensation policy, welfare services and facilities in the organisation and safe and healthy working conditions are high-level factors. A comprehensive model of the relationship between these factors has been established in this research so that the QoWL of these employees can be improved. By enhancing working conditions and the culture, an organisation may improve its employees' quality of life and loyalty. Furthermore the employers will be benefitted more as efficient and effective production will lead to enormous outputs which would invariably impact on the profits of the organisation and make it an eternally sustainable venture.
