Sustainability reports: a thematic analysis related to sustainability factors - manufacturing perspective

Abstract: Globally many industries have realised the importance of sustainability and sustainable development. Nowadays problems that are caused by the manufactured products have compelled organisation to take the mandatory initiatives on triple bottom line. The sustainability approach shall be imbibed in the life cycle of the product to manufacture a sustainable product. Incorporation of sustainability factors not only leads to sustainable manufacturing but also leads to the improvement and development of sustainable product life cycle approach. The improvement in the sustainability factors will help manufacturing companies to draw a new perspective in achieving sustainable product life cycle approach during manufacturing (B2B). This further will make new pathways to establish relationship between various processes/systems at the manufacturing end, dealers, vendors, user end, etc., to make the business journey more sustainably profitable. The present research conducted helps the manufacturing senior management to develop policies to promote and to take care of the sustainability factors from product life cycle aspect.
