Abstract:
Manufacturing industries in India are under high pressure for their sustainability because of the competition given by other global giants in the market. To fight the competition, companies are adopting various innovative ideas and new technologies. At this stage, core functional competencies can play a better role for the selection of optimal parameters. To find the influential factors, various decision-making methods are used. This paper deals with the selection of the alternatives which are important for the manufacturing industry in North India by using fuzzy TOPSIS and fuzzy VIKOR techniques. Nine factors have been used for the study. Using the techniques, ranking of alternatives has been done and preference is given.
